Holiday Motel Portage MI

Holiday Motel at the intersection of I-94 and Westnedge Ave. The pool is long gone and so is the sweet old neon sign. This motel may also be in danger of extinction too, as this intersection is getting completely rebuilt in the last stage of the I-94 improvement.

Since I-94 opened in Kalamazoo on 12-07-1959, this image is probably taken in fall of 1960 or there after. The bridge shot is looking west at Lovers Lane.
